We're the organising committee of the Web Analytics Wednesday Singapore group. This event is based on the same structure as the global events setup by Eric T Peterson - meetings occur every month or so where we get together to have a few drinks, munch on some food and chat about what's happening in the digital measurement industry. We have lots of sponsors lined up, so there's no reason not to sign up and take advantage of everyone's expertise in this rapidly growing field.

Congratulations to the team at Google Singapore for putting on an excellent master class session on Tuesday. At least 500 people showed up at the Meritus Mandarin - over double the attendance from the previous year so it's clear that web analytics is gaining momentum in the region. Next year expect it to be a cast of thousands.
All the presentations were of a very high standard and they should be available soon, when they are we'll post up links to them here so keep an eye out.

New research from Forrester on behalf of Akami shows that pages load times need to be lower than 2 seconds. The negative impacts of slow page load cut deep. http://cli.gs/gBDNJb

A very familiar situation for many businesses - you spend hours every week loading data into a spreadsheet only to find that (a) you don't know what to do with it all [even with pivot tables] and (b) that it's not actionable. The example here is for SEM data (multiple dimensions - campaign, ad group, keyword, bid price etc) making analysis and optimisation near to impossible out of the search tool. The same applies for any digital data though, you need to simplify the collection, extraction and interpretation processes to save time thereby increasing efficiency and profitability!
